The adventure begins tonight!

It's about time I posted something on this blog as it has been far too long since I last posted something here. Today is July 4, 2012 and so far I've had a fun and eventful day. My brother Jonathan did his first army salute to a retired officer and that was very exciting to see! Jonathan gave him a silver dollar. My family and grandparents on my Mom's side were there too!

Later we returned home and had a nice 4th of July lunch that my Mom made. My grandparents ate lunch with us and we had good time fellowshipping with them.

You might be wondering about the title of this blog post and why the adventure begins tonight. Well, Jonathan, I and two other guys are going on a trip out west. We will be picking up the rental car for our trip tonight and will be leaving Greenville early tomorrow morning and making our way to our first stop Mount Vernon Missouri. Stay tuned as I post more updates on the trip later. Happy 4th of July!

Selling 4 BMW rims and tires turns into a witnessing opportunity

I just wanted to tell you all that I sold my 4 BMW rims and tires I had on www.craigslist.org to a guy who lives in Mililani. I sold them for $150. He has a 1983 black BMW 533i with the same body style that our BMW was in South Carolina. He put one of the rims on his car to make sure it would fit. Before he left we witnessed to him and gave him a million dollar bill tract. When my Dad and I started talking to him after I gave him the million dollar bill it seemed to me like he had never heard the gospel before. He asked us a few questions like "What is the gospel" and a few other questions. We told him and then my Dad mentioned John 3:16 and he said the whole verse from memory. Then he told us that he was already a christian and that he was just testing us with our witnessing. I think it is very COOL that a guy who is a christian bought my rims and tires and is going to use them on his car. He's going to put brand new tires on the rims I sold him because the tires on the rims are mostly worn out. Well, I hope you enjoyed reading this article and I want to encourage you all to keep witnessing for the Lord!

Surfing for the first time on my 21st birthday

On Friday the 18th of April 2008 was my 21st birthday. In the afternoon my family and I went to a friend's beach house in Makaha where I had my birthday party. I invited some of my friends and had a fun time with them.

Two of my friends took me out on the beach to go surfing. It was my
first time to try surfing. I learned how to sit, lie and stand on the surfboard. The surfboard had wax on top of it so when you lie or stand on it you won't slip off. I managed to stand on it a few times but only for a few seconds. The waves weren't very big where I was surfing. It was an awesome experience and I would like to do it again someday.

I got my GED! Praise God!

On the evenings of February 19, 20, and 21 I took my GED tests. I went to Wahiawa Community School to take the tests. The first night I took the Language Arts Writing test. The second night I took the Science and Social Studies tests. The third night I took the Mathematics and Language Arts Reading tests. I am very glad that I have taken all the GED tests because now I don't have to study anymore for the GED. It took a few weeks for the results to come in but when they came in the mail I was very excited. I opened the envelope up to see if I had passed and when I looked I had passed. I was so excited! It made my day! My Dad and Mom were so excited too when they found out! When my Dad found out he seemed happier then I had seen him for a very long time.

This past Thursday I went to Wahiawa Community School to pick up my high school diploma and get a cover for it. Now I have the legal document to show that I have completed high school!

A Powerful Lesson from ER

I just got an email news letter from www.livingwaters.com and in the news letter was this You Tube video. Check it out. It will convince you to share you faith more regularly with people because you never know when you or that person you are talking to are going to die. Copy and paste the link below in your web browser to watch the video. Warning! This video may not be suitable for younger children. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06HGc_jb6tk

Going to see Football Professionals

Last Friday I went with some of my friends to a place near the Honolulu zoo were we were going to see some pro football players and get signatures from them. But when we got there, there was a very long line waiting to see the players and none of them had arrived yet. So most of us went and walked around the area to see what activities they had.

There were a lot of activities. I don't know what most of the activities were called. Many of them where blown up with air pumps. One of the activities I tried was a blown up thing I got on and then you put on a vest that has an elastic rope on it. The guy throws you a football and you have to run to get a touchdown at the end. It was somewhat hard to get a touchdown because of the elastic rope stuck to you. I managed to get 1 touchdown for sure and I may have gotten a second touchdown too or very close to getting one. Sometimes when you couldn't pull the elastic rope anymore it would pull you back so fast that you would fall on your back. For the most part it was fun except when I got my elbows scraped on it a little. My favorite activity I tried was the sprint run. I liked it the best cause I could do it the best. There was one other activity that I tried. It was kicking the football into the goal. I did horrible at it. My kicks were so bad that the ball didn't get off the ground much at all. What makes it even more embarrassing is that the guy who was in front of me was 74 years old and he kicked the ball so good. I found out later that he formally was a pro soccer player at one time.

There was a few stores that had football stuff in them. Some of them had little football helmets and some had full size football helmets. There were also football cards, footballs and a lot of other stuff too.

Probably the best part of the day was when I was able to pass out a lot of really cool gospel tracts to lots of people. One of the tracks I had was a $1000 BIG MONEY bill. This was the tract I gave out the most. Most of the people I gave this tract to liked it a lot. A few people didn't want the tract but most of the people did. Some of the people said thank you when I gave them one. Also I gave out a few $1,000,000 dollar bill tracts too. Check out www.livingwaters.com if you are interested in ordering some of these really cool gospel tracts.

Overall I enjoyed the day very much. I would do it again if my friends invite me again.
